What We Don't Do
Currently, the majority of the public services available in Rye are provided by either Rother District Council or East Sussex County Council. We appreciate that members of the public may be uncertain as to ‘which council provides what’. That’s to be expected – even we aren’t sure sometimes!
Click here for a summary of what we do.
A summary of the services provided by other local authorities appears below. Please note that there is a degree of overlap.
For enquiries relating to Rye’s rivers, coastal waters, flooding and pollution contact the Environment Agency.
For Rye Tourist Information Centre enquiries contact Rye Heritage Centre.
For enquiries relating to The Rye Fisheries, town marketing or local regeneration contact the Rye Partnership.
