Council Meetings

The meetings of Rye Town Council are open to the public, save for a few occasions when confidential business is discussed. Members of the public and press are encouraged to attend, and meetings of the full Council and Planning & Townscape Committee include a slot for public participation. Have a look at this Guide to Attending and Speaking at Meetings.

Meetings are held generally on Mondays at the Town Hall, commencing at 6.30pm. You can see a timetable of meetings here, including Agendas and Minutes where applicable.

The meetings and function of Rye Town Council and its committees are governed by the Standing Orders as well as adhering to Terms of Reference. Please see below to view these documents.
