 Rye is both a market town and a visitor attraction in its own right – internationally renowned for its cobbled streets, maritime heritage and fine medieval and Georgian buildings.
As you would expect there is plenty of information available for those wishing to visit or stay in the town.
The official Rye promotional web site is www.visitrye.com. Here you will find information about places to stay and eat, attractions, the town’s history and special events. www.rye-tourism.co.uk performs a similar role but additionally hosts pages for a range of local community organisations.
Rye’s Tourist Information Centre – one of the busiest in the south-east – can be found within the Town Council-owned Rye Heritage Centre – home to the popular Rye Town Model, Audio Walking Tours and Old Pier ‘penny’ amusement machines.
